The Valley Calligraphy Guild Inc., founded in Eugene, Oregon in 1976, is open to anyone interested in the art of beautiful writing. The purpose of the Guild is to promote and encourage the art of calligraphy through sharing ideas, communicating with other scribes, sponsoring workshops, exhibits and classes; and in general to stimulate interest in this art.

Our meetings will be on the second Thursday of each month, with a short Business meeting and greeting time beginning at 6:45 pm and Program at 7:00 pm. Business meetings are open to all members. Additional times and locations are announced in our newsletter and will also be featured on this web site. Officers are elected annually in January.

VCG Membership letter 2025

Annual membership dues of $30* includes our printed full color newsletter as well as discounted workshop fees and online newsletters from other guilds, opportunities to participate in exhibitions put on by the guild and correspondence about other calligraphy opportunities.

Our annual membership fee will remain at $30. You have the choice of receiving our newsletters either in printed form OR digitally via email (not both).

All members are welcome to contribute to our publications (such as the VCG newsletter and our cookbook/ideabooks POTS & PENS) and to our calligraphy exhibits.
