Valley Calligraphy Guild Membership

The Valley Calligraphy Guild Inc., founded in Eugene, Oregon in 1976, is open to anyone interested in the art of beautiful writing. The purpose of the Guild is to promote and encourage the art of calligraphy through sharing ideas, communicating with other scribes, sponsoring workshops, exhibits and classes; and in general to stimulate interest in this art.

Meetings in which we focus on one particular topic of interest are usually held on the 2nd Thursday of each month. Business meetings are open to all members. Times and locations are announced in our newsletter and will also be featured on this web site. Officers are elected annually in January.

Annual membership dues of thirty dollars* entitle members to receive an invitation to attend VCG meetings via Zoom, to receive a discount at Guild-sponsored workshops, to receive the newsletter to which all are encouraged to contribute, to participate in non-juried annual shows, and the fellowship of other calligraphers.

All members are welcome to contribute to our publications (such as the VCG newsletter and our cookbook/ideabooks POTS & PENS) and to our calligraphy exhibits.
